IMETC's stevedoring operations currently cover Apapa (Lagos), Tin Can Island (Lagos), Onne Port & FTZ (Rivers State), Calabar Port (Cross River State), Warri Port (Delta State), and Port Harcourt. We also have experience at ports in Ghana, Cameroon, and Côte d'Ivoire.

For planned STS operations, we require a minimum of 72 hours advance notice to arrange all pre-operation requirements including NIMASA notification, vessel compatibility checks, fender and equipment pre-positioning, and Superintendent assignment. For emergency STS requirements, our 24/7 operations line can initiate mobilisation within hours — please call directly rather than emailing.

Our standard subscription includes: monthly performance reports for all 12 covered ports (vessel calls, cargo throughput by type, productivity indices, dwell times); quarterly benchmarking vs regional and global peers; annual State of West African Ports report; and access to our online data portal for historical data queries. Premium subscriptions add customised dashboards and quarterly briefing calls with our analytics team.

Yes — a significant portion of our consultancy work is conducted for government clients including the Nigerian Ports Authority, Federal Ministry of Transport, NIMASA, and state governments. We also regularly partner with international development organisations including the World Bank, UNCTAD, AfDB, and bilateral donors on trade facilitation and blue economy projects. We are familiar with procurement and contracting requirements for both government and development sector clients.

Absolutely — and in fact, many of our most impactful engagements combine multiple service lines. For example, a terminal optimisation engagement will typically combine our terminal management consulting with port statistics analysis. A port development advisory project may combine trade facilitation advisory with blue economy strategy.
